During the 1980s, the huge impact that hip hop was going to have during the next 20 years started to set the musical compass for many an aspiring artist. Eric B's dope beats fought side by side with Anita Baker for airtime, both on radio and BET. In my book, both deserved the accolades they got.

Sherrick never got to make a follow up album, so his true level of talent was never known to a much wider audience. At Video Steppin, however, we know Sherrick was the real deal!
